Full Job Description:
Through a mix of regulatory, technical, operational, and strategic responsibilities, the Senior Manager of Reliability oversees United’s aircraft maintenance and engineering division’s mechanical and operational reliability. This entails taking responsibility for, supervising, and implementing United’s FAA-approved reliability program, as well as regularly meeting with regulators to ensure compliance with all requirements. The team that analyzes United’s operational data to identify the underlying causes of aircraft defects, out-of-service events, and flight delays and cancellations is led by the Senior Manager of Reliability. From there, the team collaborates with a number of teams from Technical Operations and United to design, implement, and evaluate solutions that may include modifications to aircraft, new predictive maintenance models, flight schedule adjustments, and a variety of other interventions.
