Full Job Description:-
The security designing group accepts security ought to be the default while making new items at Hotstar. Our goal is to develop APIs and frameworks that engineers can use to abstract away functions such as data encryption, authentication, abuse detection, and other functions. Security, in our opinion, is a software engineering problem by definition, and engineers ought to use it to their advantage. You will lead a group of security engineers in resolving privacy and security issues. You will assist the group in defining the “user experience” of security for Hotstar engineers.
- Responsibilities The application/product security team builds tools to help find and fix Hotstar code vulnerabilities and focuses on application security.
- Using a combination of design review and penetration testing, the team finds any vulnerabilities that are currently present.
Working with all departments to help them track and understand the risk of vulnerabilities, as well as providing reporting and awareness on vulnerabilities past SLA Working on methodologies to unify risk across all vulnerabilities, and have consistency in reporting/tracking Analyze gaps that could be remediated at scale (scanning/coverage gaps, finding patterns when too many issues of a certain type occur, etc.)
Has a track record of partnering with recruiting to build incredible engineering teams Actively coached and mentored team members in their careers Been actively involved in setting product security strategy Independently started self-sustaining teams Security engineering ability and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications Consistently made culture choices that positively impact all of engineering Shipped several large-scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams Preferred Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field 7+ years of experience as an Individual contribution and Disney+ Hotstar has the most content in India, with over 100,000 hours of TV shows and movies in 18 languages and coverage of major sporting events around the world.
