Full Job Description:-

ILM is opening its Mumbai studio in the fall of 2022. The most youthful of all the ILM studios, the India studio use the ability and mechanical expertise created north of 40 years at Modern Light and Enchantment joined with the top specialists and professionals in the locale. Information and culture stream uninhibitedly between the organization’s five studios and the worldwide group shares apparatuses and work process taking into consideration consistent association on totally shared projects.

We are looking for a Sr. as ILM Mumbai expands. Manager, Finance & Accounting to join the team as one of the first people and help build the studio’s technology infrastructure.

The Sr. The ILM Mumbai studio’s finances and accounting will be supported by the Manager of Finance & Accounting, who will oversee the management and/or execution of tasks. Annual Operating Plans and Forecasts, monthly GL close, accounts payable, payroll, statutory reporting, audits, management reporting, and taxes will all fall under their primary responsibility. With assistance from the Finance and Accounting teams of the other ILM studios, the position will play a crucial role in establishing accounting procedures and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and Disney global policies because the studio is new.

What You’ll Do:

  • Estimates/Arranging – Coordinate with nearby administration and US FP&A to set up the Yearly Working Plans, quarterly figures, capital spending plans and long-range plans
  • Month End Close/The executives Detailing – – Deals with the month-end close guaranteeing all essential bookkeeping processes are finished, diary sections posted and accounts accommodated.
  • Accounts Payable – Perform or oversee duties related to the accounts payable function, including reviewing invoices, obtaining approvals, tracking purchase orders, managing credit cards, and payment processing Payroll –
  • Partner with HR and an external payroll provider to ensure that payrolls are completed accurately and promptly. Provides the Executive in Charge with monthly management accounts variance analysis and commentary related to capital and operating expenses.
  • Make sure that payroll files are uploaded to GL.
  • Ensure that any and all necessary payroll liabilities are tracked and recorded (for instance: Get-away or Tip commitments). Ensure that all required payroll taxes and withholdings are paid. Control the submission of weekly H2G timecards (for Cost Accounting).
  • Fixed Assets – perform or supervise fixed asset-related tasks, such as preparing monthly additions and disposals;
  • running depreciation, reconciling the FA ledger to the GL, booking USD historical FX true ups, conducting periodic inventories, and collaborating with local IT to ensure that assets are appropriately tagged are all tasks.
  • ILM Mumbai’s compliance with local statutory account, tax, and other reporting requirements is ensured by Statutory & Other Tax Reporting.

Coordinate and file required VAT/GST returns as well as coordinate and assist external tax providers, ILM US and Disney tax, for annual tax returns or other special tax filings (R&D/Grants/Payroll/Fringe Benefit/Transfer Pricing, if applicable). Production Accounting Collaboration – role will include local oversight of a Production Accountant who will have dual reporting to Production Accounting management in other ILM studios. Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors. The Finance Manager will need to be aware of the operational impact that production cost tracking and capacity management has on the company’s financial success, so it will be important to work closely with global Production Accounting, coordinate with them, and become familiar with Production Accounting reports and tools.

  • What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance CPA/CA or local equivalent with significant post-qualification experience Eight years or more related finance/accounting &/or audit experience, including a proven track record of managing a team

  • Ability to guide and explain financial requirements, procedures, and rules to non-finance people is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Diplomacy, discretion, confidentiality, versatility, and dependability are important.

Preferable Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in the entertainment industry or knowledge of US GAAP is a plus (books maintained in accordance with US GAAP for Walt Disney consolidated reporting/Statutory reporting for standalone entity will be local GAAP).
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Windows, Excel, and MS Word are required. Experience with Oracle and SAP is preferred. Experience with enterprise planning software (Cognos Tm1 preferred). Experience working with government agencies is a plus.
