Full Job Description:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for managing the setup, upkeep, upgrades, and support of all network hardware, firewalls, load balancers, VPN systems, and other related tools and services across all domestic and international Lucasfilm and ILM facilities. In order to ensure the effective and efficient deployment of network services for use by the user base, this position is also responsible for developing and maintaining the fundamental architecture and functionality of those services. They’ll participate in service support initiatives as well as projects for development.
They will use both conventional IT methods and contemporary DevOps strategies to guarantee the availability of services that provide the fundamental IT infrastructure required for the efficient operation of our multi-site, award-winning film production and visual effects businesses.
Your Plan of Action.
- Take the technical lead on important technology projects, making sure implementations adhere to best practices and are consistent with project goals.
- Give IT Operations internal level 3 support for technologies. To identify and identify complex issues, conduct network troubleshooting. Keep an eye on the incident backlog and take responsibility for problems that need fixing.
- Implementing efficient service monitoring, maintenance programs, and foundational system design with a global perspective will help the IT infrastructure achieve the highest levels of operational efficiencies and reliability.
