Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

The Electrician\u00a0will perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs of underground mining equipment in permissible condition as defined by MSHA.<\/p>\n

Duties will include:<\/p>\n

Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs of underground mining equipment.
\nMaintain underground equipment in permissible condition as defined by MSHA.
\nPerform scheduled maintenance, and complete reports and records as required.
\nPerform other, non-maintenance tasks as assigned.<\/p>\n

About you:<\/p>\n

Must possess high school diploma or GED.
\nMust have current MSHA electrical certification. (High, medium, and low voltage, underground)
\nMust have one (1) year underground mining experience.
\nMust be knowledgeable of State and Federal mining regulations pertaining to underground mining including electrical permissibility.
\nMust have demonstrated welding and fabrication skills.
\nMust have demonstrated operating, repairing, and troubleshooting skills on section and outby equipment. \u00a0(Continuous miners, feeders, scoops, roof bolters, etc.)
\nMust have high safety standards for self and others.
\nMust be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
\nMust be able to communicate and coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.
\nMust be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends and holidays.
\nMust be able to troubleshoot from blueprints and service manuals.<\/p>\n

Physical Requirements – Underground:<\/p>\n

Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time on uneven, rocky surfaces.
\nMust have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.
\nMust have the ability to walk for up to 4 hours at a time. Will be required to walk through different sections of the mine with varying degrees of clearance and headroom.
\nWalking ability will be judged according to SCSR emergency evacuation plan required and approved by MSHA.
\nMust have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA.
\nMust have the ability to bend or stoop for a full work period as a result of mine height.
\nMust have the ability to climb up and down stairs\/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders.
\nMust have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs as well as good hand to eye coordination.
\nMust have the ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and the ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
\nMust have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.<\/p>\n
