Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n

Establishes, maintain, and manages Company\u2019s business relationships and alliances with third party vendors to support global clinical trials and facilities.
\nWorks closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure alignment of priorities, goals, and related activities.
\nPerforms analysis with reliable sources to assure adequate vendor financial stability.
\nBackfills, as required, the Purchase Order Analyst in support of the work order\/purchase order process.
\nIdentifies new vendors through common purchasing processes and interact with other departments, when appropriate, to assess vendor qualifications.
\nDrafts and negotiates contracts, including development of new contractual language.
\nEnsures vendor compliance with negotiated business terms.
\nAssists with Root Cause\/Corrective Actions to short term and permanent solutions to vendor issues.
\nDevelops and implements appropriate negotiation strategies to ensure best pricing is achieved.
\nSchedules, hosts, and attends vendor capability presentations to establish business relationships with Preferred Providers.
\nPromotes vendor management strategy by setting expectations and establishing performance criteria and measurements for third party vendor relationships.
\nConducts sponsor and vendor customer satisfaction surveys, as well as formal periodic performance reviews with each preferred provider.
\nMaintains and develops databases, develops, and provides reports, investigate complaints, works to resolve non-conformities and errors, acts as a resource to project teams, tracks cost savings, and tracks project timelines for the Procurement function.
\nDeploys strategic Global Procurement tools and processes.
\nPerforms other work-related duties as assigned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n

What we’re looking for<\/p>\n

BA\/BS in Business Administration, Sciences, Public Administration, Public Health, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\u00a0
\nThree (3) \u2013 five (5) years of moderate experience in procurement with direct responsibility for vendors used in a clinical research organization.\u00a0
\nProcurement experience in support of clinical and non-clinical services including IT, facilities, central laboratories, drug depots, or associated pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical supply chain organizations preferred.\u00a0
\nExperience in drafting and negotiating contracts.
\nExperience in a contract research organization or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.\u00a0
\nExperience in Project Management and Execution of Strategic Plans.\u00a0
\nStrong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.\u00a0
\nWell versed on ERP systems such as Oracle EBS, SAP PeopleSoft.\u00a0
\nKnowledge and experience doing presentations to different audiences.\u00a0
\nDirect vendor negotiation skills.\u00a0
\nStrong team-orientation and interpersonal skills.
\nExcellent written\/oral communication.\u00a0
\nCustomer-focused and able to manage challenging priorities and remain flexible and adaptable in stressful situations.
\nMinimal travel may be required (up to 25%).<\/p>\n
