Responsibilities<\/p>\n

This position will be responsible for all aspects of plant accounting for their assigned gas gathering and processing assets. These full cycle responsibilities consist of settlement\/invoicing, margin analysis and reporting, and monthly accrual entries for their assigned assets. To perform the role effectively, the Operations Accountant must be able to understand multiple software systems (including Waterfield, Cognos, and PeopleSoft) and multiple midstream assets, including complex processing, gathering, and transportation assets.<\/p>\n

Prepare journal entries, closing files and balance sheet reconciliations.
\nGenerate and record record monthly accrual and understand the fundamentals of your assets and related operating contracts.
\nGenerate timely and accurate monthly settlement with multiple producer counterparties for your asset.
\nPerform monthly revenue analysis timely and accurately. This process includes accrued-to-actual variance analysis and prior period adjustment explanations.
\nProvide management reports and analysis for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
\nCreate and maintain desktop procedures and process work flows.
\nRespond to both internal and external customer needs in a timely and customer-focused manner. Periodically solicit feedback from internal clients for performance and improvement.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
\n2 years of accounting experience required, midstream O&G experience preferred.
\nExperience with midstream revenue systems (TIES, TIPS, QLM, Plant Master, Waterfield, ESI, etc.) and PeopleSoft a plus
\nExcellent computer and system skills, proficiency in Excel required
\nSound analytical thinking and decision-making
\nGood interpersonal skills \u2013 team-player; relates well with peers and supervisor, works well with other functional groups including Commercial, Contracts, Measurement, etc.
\nGets results through personal initiative
\nPositive attitude and disposition<\/p>\n
