Job Description<\/p>\n

The role of the Sheeter Operative is to support the smooth running of the factory by managing the initial process of converting cardboard reels into sheets that can be printed on. The Sheeter Operative maintains the workload flowing and time management and planning is key to this role.<\/p>\n

Specific Responsibilities<\/p>\n

Maintaining and understanding the mechanics of the Sheeter machine
\nRunning the Sheeter machine, ensuring optimum performance and output
\nCarrying out routine maintenance, checking and slight repairs or reporting of issues
\nMeet agreed targets regarding high quality products
\nTo operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) and Clamp Truck whilst adhering to H&S guidelines
\nCarry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner
\nEnsuring the machine area is kept clean and tidy, complying with H&S and 5S
\nParticipate and contribute to all activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, lean and Kanban system initiatives
\nEnsuring the safe movement of the Reels including fitting correctly and safety.
\nThe control of waste collection in the Sheetfed department and ensuring recycling processes are followed as and when required<\/p>\n

Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
\nExperience in a similar role, or an understanding of what is involved
