Identify property\u202fhazards\u202f(fire, explosion, and natural catastrophe hazards)\u00a0 at\u202fclient facilities and deliver\u202fpractical\u202fsolutions\u202fto minimize or\u202feliminate\u202fthe risk.\u00a0
\nCommunicate\u202fkey risks and\u202fpriorities to support clients in making sound risk management decisions\u202fbased on what matters most to their business.\u00a0
\nApply consistent risk assessment and risk mitigation guidance, based on use of FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets and company operating procedures, with an attention to\u202ftechnical\u202fdetail.\u202f\u00a0
\nPrepare technical engineering reports, with sound engineering-based judgements,\u202fdecisions, and technical writing to document conclusions.\u202f\u00a0
\nCollaborate with various departments such as Operations Engineering, Client Services, Account Management and Underwriting on risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies.\u00a0
\nDevelop long-lasting relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor and consultant\u202fwithin your field.\u00a0
\nWork from a home office, while managing time, meeting\u202freport delivery\u202ftimelines, and working independently with minimal supervision.
\nThis is a field-based role and will require travel to large, complex industrial client sites to evaluate the operations and systems of the site and identify risks and hazards. Expected overnight travel is from 50 to 100 nights per year.<\/p>\n

Minimum\u202fbachelor\u2019s degree in Chemical Engineering
\nMinimum of 2\u202fyears\u2019 experience (chemical industry preferred)\u202f\u00a0
\nExperience\u202fwith\u202fprocess\u202fhazard analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM),\u202fManagement of Change (MOC), Layers of Protection (LOPA), HAZOP, \u00a0manual and automatic process safety interlocks,\u202fand\u202fautomatic fire protection systems\u202fis a plus.\u00a0\u00a0
\nHands-on\u202funderstanding of\u202fvarious\u202fchemical and mechanical production processes\u202fand support systems, with basic understanding\u202fof\u202ftopics relating to\u202fdesign, operation, maintenance, process safety, and\u202fprotection for complex\u202fprocess\u202fequipment\u202fsuch as\u202freactors, distillation columns, dryers, RTOs,\u202fand dust collection systems\u202fat large complex chemical plants.\u00a0
\nAn\u202feagerness to learn\u202facross a broad range of industries and types of hazards.\u202f\u00a0
\nGood analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.\u00a0
\nIndependent\u202fand\u202ffocused\u202fwithin\u202fa home office environment, with\u202fstrong\u202fplanning and time management skills with minimal supervision.\u00a0
