You will handle a portfolio of Reinsurance Treaty and Facultative Property and Casualty claims arising from Excess of Loss, Proportional Treaty and Facultative business written by Berkley Re UK (BRUK).
\nThe successful candidate will ensure claims are managed proactively and efficiently in accordance with the prevailing business, legal and regulatory environment. <\/p>\n

To assess policy coverage and liability for all claims notifications received.
\nTo manage and settle claims arising on policies written by BRUK ensuring accurate reserve calculations and managing cross market exposures.
\nTo action Class\/ECF and Direct claims advices, process treaty statements and deal with cash calls, expediently and within internal KPI\u2019s, minimum standards and market expectation.
\nProvide high quality commentary on relevant movements, highlighting significant notifications, claims trends or developments.
\nTo undertake Claims Audits\/Reviews of Service Providers and other third parties as required.
\nTo develop and maintain good working relationships with the Underwriting, Actuarial and Finance
\nTeams.
\nTo review and maintain internal databases with relevant claims data.
\nTo ensure accuracy of data contained within claims system.
\nTo comply with relevant company procedures and policies.
\nTo act in accordance with BRUK Claims philosophy.
\nTo contribute to enhancements and modifications to claims processes and systems to generate sustained improvement.

Previous experience of Reinsurance \/ Insurance claims handling in the London Market.
\nA strong background in Casualty claims essential.

\nAbility to communicate and explain complex issues clearly and succinctly.
