The Category Analyst (CA) is a foundational role that completes a wide variety of important analytical assignments for the Category Management (CM) and Sales teams. The CA demonstrates strong technical skills, the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, develop insights and presentations, execute projects, and interact with retailers.\u00a0 The CA is a willing learner, quick study, and premier executioner of software packages and processes to cement Constellation\u2019s reputation as a dependable provider of CM solutions.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/p>\n

Manages or Assists in Category Management Projects<\/p>\n

Gather and combine complementary data from multiple sources; Manipulate, cleanse, analyze, and validate large data sets
\nDevelops, updates, manages, and refines scorecards and reports to measure results
\nProvides analytics and meeting preparation support
\nOwns and maintains team attribution: product library\/attribution, store master, etc.
\nCoordinate with Category and technical teams to ensure efficient use of technology
\nEngage with Category Leadership team, Sales, and retailer partners to plan, meet expectations and ensure successful completion of Category projects
\nInterpret data, draw conclusions, and develop insights and presentations
\nProvide recommendations for space allocation\/optimization and assortment planning
\nSupport space and assortment opportunities aligned with the strategic direction of Category Leadership activities
\nTrain to become an expert user of Microsoft Office, processes, and solutions
\nSupports the team with the development of category insights, solutions, and presentations, including but not limited to new item introductions, package expansion\/reduction, assortment analysis (pre\/post), promotion effectiveness, seasonality, and post-promotion analysis
\nPrepares CM analysis and creates presentation slides for various meetings
\nSeeks clarification or understanding as necessary<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n

2+ years of analytical experience (may include an internship) that was focused on food and beverage retailing or merchandising, or sales experience from any industry
\nAbility to build strong relationships, initiate action and adjust to change are key attributes of this role
\nProficient in the use of all category management software, concepts, analytical techniques; knowledge of syndicated, panel, and Retailer POS\/loyalty card data
\nAdvanced in Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint
\nStrong attention to detail
\nStrong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
\nBachelor\u2019s degree is required
\nAbility to travel by plane approximately 20%<\/p>\n
