Job Purpose<\/p>\n

The role is part of the leadership team to manage the Logistics Department responsible for material scheduling, control and storage of inbound material, line side supply of material including packaging, management of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), production planning, and dispatching finished stock to customer.
\nManaging SAP master data, budget control, Freight contracts, problem solving including man management are all key requirements in this role.<\/p>\n

Job Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n

Manage Master Production Scheduling process and communication of latest customer volumes
\nSupplier scheduling and control of freight expenditure, including 3rd Party Logistics providers
\nManage production planning in line with customer requirements
\nManage Raw Materials Stores including Goods Receiving and supply to manufacturing areas
\nOversee the use of Material Handling Equipment and the maintenance thereof.
\nStock accuracy including the deployment of cycle count checks achieving KPIs
\nEnsure compliance with Quality System, Financial Audit requirements and customers\u2019 Materials Management requirements using standardized Work Instructions and Risk Assessments throughout the operation
\nReporting of Key Metrics including On Time Delivery, Inventory Levels, Sales Forecasts, PFEP status, Freight costs
\nUsing Continuous Improvement methodology to rationalize and develop business processes and to develop staff
\nDeployment of pertinent safety rules and environmental regulations.
\nControlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory, and maximizing available working capital.
\nAs part of Management Team, support leadership to maximize productivity and profitability towards company objectives and KPIs.
\nPlan and control material flow from external suppliers through to customer collection
\nManagement of external logistic providers.
\nTo expedite materials to ensure continuity of material flow to support production requirements.
\nScheduling of inbound material in line with build.<\/p>\n

Analysis of MRP reports – Requirements \/ exceptions \/ shortages \/ overdue items.<\/p>\n

Liaise with all appropriate internal departments to ensure adequate information interchange and communication flow.
\nEnsure that goods are delivered on time and shipped out of the company in line with customer expectations using the most appropriate and efficient methods of packing, transport, etc.
\nSupport the buyer to conduct and manage the supplier(s) relationship within the cost, quality and delivery targets associated to inventory.
\nControl and monitor special and additional freight costs.
\nWork within a TS16949 \/ ISO 14001 environment and Participating in audits as required
\nActively promote and champion the use of best practise to ensure compliance with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
\nUpdate and maintain SAP master data as appropriate.
\nFamiliar with customs processes in line with latest regulation
\nEnsure zero obsolescence on engineering changes or end of life programs
\nSupport New production introduction (NPI) for all logistics aspects<\/p>\n
