Job Purpose<\/p>\n

As a Lead Applications Engineer in Dana\u2019s e-drive team, you will be\u00a0spending a significant portion of your time as a resident engineer at the customer in the Midlands and have a home base\u00a0at\u00a0our project hub in our Dana Birmingham production plant.\u00a0Splitting your time between these locations you\u2019ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues driving the\u00a0efficiency and the quality of Dana electrification projects.<\/p>\n

You will be at the forefront to support the engineering development and system integration in this customer facing role.\u00a0This opportunity gives the chance to be involved\u00a0all stages of the customer application through\u00a0new product development\u00a0and launch, taking the system from architecture to production.\u00a0Working closely with the global product development team\u00a0involving experts from all fields, you are\u00a0involved in the\u00a0full\u00a0life cycle of electrified drivetrains covering inverters, motors, and gearbox.<\/p>\n

Job Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n

At it\u2019s core the role is being the customers key technical contact, which entails:<\/p>\n

Lead customer interactions for all aspects related to e-drives systems
\nRepresent the company as a technical expert when meeting with customers
\nIn accordance with the development phases, define the technical requirements of the systems in close collaboration with other departments and Dana global tech centers
\nLead systems engineering design reviews and produce related documentation
\nLead the development of technical reports
\nSupport the customer during system qualification
\nLead the calibration of Dana systems in the customer application.
\nLead the problem-solving exercises of quality concerns
\nManage customer change requests
\nParticipate and contribute to the implementation and updating of the design process, definition of requirements and technical specifications for e-drive systems
\nContribute to the research and development of new technologies for electrification
\nManage and liaise with external service providers and other Dana electrification tech centres.<\/p>\n
