About the Role:<\/p>\n

We are seeking a dedicated Business Adviser to join our team. In this role, you will work with potential small business owners and sole traders, on the Restart scheme, working to support individuals who have been out of work for at least 6 months and helping them overcome employability barriers to move away from Universal Credit.<\/p>\n

Your role will be to guide our clients through our business start-up programme and providing the necessary support to boost their business confidence and knowledge. You will manage a diverse caseload of clients, identifying their needs and helping them navigate various support provisions to achieve their business goals.<\/p>\n

This will include:<\/p>\n

Assessing business viability
\nDeveloping business plans, marketing plans and financial forecasts
\nSupporting your caseload through the early stages of trading.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

Client Assessment:\u00a0Undertake detailed discussions with clients to understand their suitability for the programme and make sound recommendations for appropriate actions.
\nClient Engagement:\u00a0Maintain client contact via face-to-face meetings, group sessions, phone, email, and Microsoft Teams\/Skype. Monitor and manage key client milestones.
\nCoaching and Mentoring:\u00a0Provide coaching, advice, and mentoring to sole traders and small business owners, helping them grow their businesses to a financially sustainable level. Building rapport with clients is essential to keep them engaged and help them reach their growth potential.
\nClient Management:\u00a0Manage client caseloads, relationships, and referrals to achieve or exceed output and impact targets, capturing all required evidence.
\nAction Plans:\u00a0Develop Action Plans detailing the support and actions required to help clients grow their business. Deliver appropriate training and mentoring to ensure client engagement with identified interventions.
\nRelationship Building:\u00a0Establish and maintain links with participating organizations and support other team members to ensure effective programme delivery.
\nRecord Keeping:\u00a0Ensure client enquiries and partner referrals are correctly recorded on CRM and associated service-specific data capturing systems. Update progress against agreed actions as plans progress.
\nOutput Monitoring:\u00a0Closely monitor the achievement of outputs, including new businesses created, businesses sustained to 26 weeks, and other service-specific outcomes.
\nAdministrative Duties:\u00a0Adhere to all record-keeping requirements and complete all paperwork in line with funding criteria in an accurate and timely manner.
\nPerformance Reporting:\u00a0Prepare monthly performance reports as set by the line manager.
\nReferral Management:\u00a0Establish and maintain effective relations with referral partner organizations to facilitate high-quality referrals.
\nResource Engagement:\u00a0Proactively identify and engage with complementary resources and provisions that support and enhance self-employment delivery in the region.
\nFlexibility:\u00a0Work flexibly across the region and across multiple contracts as necessary. Attend regular performance and team meetings.
\nTravel:\u00a0Undertake business travel as required to perform your role effectively, including working from more than one location. Flexible to work outside normal working hours when required.<\/p>\n
