Job Summary:<\/p>\n

As EMEA Tax Manager, you will be part of a small team which provides corporate tax and VAT input to the business for strategic initiatives and supports the EMEA country finance teams.<\/p>\n

The team manages the corporate tax compliance in-house for all UK entities and oversees the US GAAP tax reporting for the EMEA group, working closely with our US head office tax team on quarterly and annual reporting. The team is fully involved with setting intercompany charges and maintains the EMEA group transfer pricing documentation.<\/p>\n

Key Accountabilities:<\/p>\n

Oversee all aspects of UK corporate tax compliance, to include review of tax returns prepared in-house, return to provision calculations, management of payments on account, group relief, loss utilisation, controlled foreign companies, double tax relief claims and corporate interest restriction.
\nReview of UK Statutory Accounts including tax notes prepared in house by Assistant Tax Manager.
\nManage the US GAAP tax accounting process including year-end, quarterly, cash tax forecasting and ETR modelling.
\nEnsuring transfer pricing documentation for countries in EMEA, including monitoring intercompany trading agreements and other legal documentation to support transfer pricing position.
\nEnsuring that appropriate documentation is in place to support the annual senior accounting officer requirements in relation to corporate tax.
\nOversee double tax relief process including loan passports, tax clearances, W8BEN and residence certificates.
\nCoaching the Assistant Tax manager whose primary responsibility is preparation of UK tax compliance.
\nManaging the process using external tax advisors for claims for R&D tax credits.
\nDrive process improvement changes in relation to corporate tax processes to ensure efficiencies and improved controls.
\nWork closely with the wider Tax, Finance & Business Teams and external advisors in helping to deliver the Group\u2019s objectives, assisting with ad hoc advisory queries and undertaking relevant tax research.
\nRegular contact with Financial Controllers within the region to ensure appropriate tax support is given.<\/p>\n

Essential Skills:<\/p>\n

Accountancy qualification including ACCA, ACA and Tax qualification.
\nExcel, Smartview, Powerpoint and Word skills.
\nExperience of OneSource tax return software, to include tax returns, tax notes and group files.
\nIn house tax experience, preferably for a US lead group.
\nBackground knowledge in international tax regulation and US GAAP.
\nGood communicator.
\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
\nA desire to work in a fast-paced environment and to take responsibility and ownership of allocated work.<\/p>\n

Desirable Experience:<\/p>\n

Indirect tax experience in cross border transactions, supply chains including agents.
\nEmployment tax experience to include PSA and tax award schemes.
\nExperience of Onesource Tax provision software
\nExperience of Exactera transfer pricing software.
\nExperience of Oracle Fusion, PBCS forecasting tool, FCCS consolidation system<\/p>\n
