What you’ll do:
\n\u00a0
\nThe Operational Financial Controller\u00a0supports the CFO and COO in achieving business objectives through proactive management of the financial affairs of the business unit including:<\/p>\n

Overseeing month end process for operational business:<\/p>\n

Reporting budgets and forecasts, coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process with support from across the finance function
\nAdvanced warnings to the CFO and COO of potential issues
\nEnsuring accuracy, integrity and compliance with the organisation\u2019s UK and US accounting policies<\/p>\n

Audit
\nAudit preparation and management, including liaising with internal and external auditors, working to ensure all information is accurate and available
\nEnsuring SOX controls are adhered to throughout the year, with extra focus at quarter ends
\nOwnership of monthly contract\/projects review process, in line with company policies
\nFleet
\n\u00a0Review and management of under\/overbills
\n\u00a0Management of Head of Fleet, and indirectly the Fleet team
\nImplementation of a Fleet strategy, which supports key safety, efficiency and operational requirements
\nManaging delivery of initiatives including electric car salary sacrifice and telematics<\/p>\n

Other<\/p>\n

Overall responsibility for the Operational Finance Function, including partnering with the COO, and reporting to the CFO with transparency and clarity
\nWorking to ensure alignment with the CFO and\/or Executive Leadership Team
\nMembership of the Operational Leadership Team, representing the finance function at a senior level within the operational space
\nEfficiency and cost focused to ensure all spend is VFM.
\nParticipating in bid and tender activity as required, to ensure that allowances for statutory costs are accurate
\nControl of customer contract set-up and budgeting in the company\u2019s financial reporting systems.
\nAbility to lead Projects within the finance function
\nManaging the insurance return on an annual basis.<\/p>\n

Who you’ll be:
\nQualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA), or in progress at advanced stages (e.g. finalist)
\nDemonstrable leadership experience \u2013 able to motivate and manage a team, whilst delivering as an individual, and through others
\nExperience of a high-volume service environment is essential
\nContract based accounting experience
\nHigh levels of Excel proficiency
\nExperience of IFS is preferable but not essential
\nGood commercial acumen\/awareness
\nGood communication skills \u2013 at all levels, candid and collaborative
