General Summary<\/p>\n

Teamed with our Site Technical Leader, the Maintenance Reliability Engineer has a small team of technologist, each working within the different operations departments inside the plant. This person needs to have very good communication skills to both lead their direct reports as well as leading through influence across departments and management groups. This person needs to have a strong technical background, able to answer the \u201cwhy won’t this happen again\u201d question, have Continuous Improvement as a personal core value, understand asset care strategies, and component failure analysis. They also need to have a strong background with CMMS and budget tools preferable SAP. This role will own our 90-day plan process across the Maintenance department, building strategy to create and sustain reliability and budgetary gains across the plant with a top loss approach.<\/p>\n

Principal Accountabilities<\/p>\n

30% – Responsible for the execution of the Maintenance departments 90-day plan, reliability data, coaching, and tracking of results.
\n20% – Develops a competent and efficient Maintenance Department workforce. Assures personnel have the training, tools, supplies, and materials required for performing maintenance services.
\n20% – Strategic Planning – Develops, recommends, and reviews long-term strategies for expense and capital initiatives relating to the Maintenance Department and the successful operation of the plant. Key to the development of the strategic capital and savings plan for the facility.
\n20% – Driving and owning the failure analysis process across the Maintenance department.
\n10% – Department Budgeting – Monitors expense budgets for the Maintenance Department. Manages use of labor and materials to optimize department effectiveness.<\/p>\n

Job Complexity<\/p>\n

At the beginning of each fiscal quarter, we pull the reliability data from the last 90 days. We then separate this data into top losses buckets and build plans around improving and or eliminating these losses over the course of the next 90 days. Through the quarter we have check in meetings to track progress and assign help as needed to meet our goals by the quarters end. Achieving these goals is the primary responsibility of our Reliability Engineer and their team.<\/p>\n

Job Specifications<\/p>\n

Minimum education required: BS degree; Engineering degree strongly preferred.
\nMinimum years of relevant experience: 5 years of experience in a plant-based reliability leadership role.
\nPreferred qualification: CMRP, Lubrication, PMP, or RCA certifications
\nPreferred experience: SAP CMMS and budget tool, capital project delivery, 24\/7 technical leadership experience.<\/p>\n
