The\u00a0Sr. Internal Auditor\u00a0conducts internal audits for management to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations at Headquarters, SSC, plant and RDC locations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter that is not only knowledgeable in compliance audit but has a strong background in accounting and operational auditing. This position will include frequent travel to our Dal-Tile locations to complete audits, training, assess efficiency and communicate proper protocol with internal groups. A strong understanding of plant, distribution, operations, and sales locations is preferred.\u00a0 The\u00a0Sr. Internal Auditor\u00a0will be expected to work independently and be autonomous to make decisions with little to no supervision.<\/p>\n

Major Function and Scope:<\/p>\n

Performs site visit financial and operational audits for compliance with company policy at Sales Service Centers, Regional Distribution Centers and Manufacturing locations
\nParticipates in Regional Distribution Center cycle count annual reviews
\nPerforms Sarbanes-Oxley testing for primary controls at various DT locations
\nPrepares and analyzes monthly Sales Service Center control panels to assess risk and identify areas for review
\nDocuments and updates various controls and processes
\nSupports special projects as defined by Dal-Tile and Mohawk management
\nPerforms other related duties as required<\/p>\n

Type of Experience and Knowledge:<\/p>\n

MUST HAVE\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably with some Audit classes.\u00a0 At minimum, advancement towards a certification (CPA or CIA) a requirement.\u00a0 CPA or CIA certification, a plus.\u00a0
\n2-5yrs of audit experience required.\u00a0 Previous accounting experience \/ prior public accounting experience a plus.
\nIT Auditing background is\u00a0not preferred.\u00a0
\nAbility to communicate well at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
\nTravel required 40%
\nWork well in group situations and on individual assignments.
\nHave knowledge of audit testing and risk assessment; and be able to learn new systems to extract data using MS Access, Excel and other company systems.
\nAbility to review and assess processes and provide actionable feedback and alternatives.
\nAbility to communicate fluently in Spanish & English, a plus<\/p>\n
