Job Summary<\/p>\n

This position is an entry-level supervisor position. Primary responsibilities include leading coordination of all outreach activities for PSE&G\u2019s capital programs within a designated area (north\/central\/south). The current opening is in the North, remote local and based out of Clifton. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the public outreach employees within the area, coordinating project and workflow and informing senior management of any issues.\u00a0 This position must identify, influence and manage issues associated with PSE&G capital projects and coordinate with the manager and director level employees on strategy with community constituencies including local media, property owners, special interest groups, organized opponents, local municipalities and businesses to facilitate the planning, approvals process and construction of PSE&G\u2019s capital program.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This position will also collaborate with Regional Public Affairs and Corporate Communications in developing and implementing plans to create long-term success and minimize constraints for PSE&G\u2019s capital program, with special focus at the municipal government and community levels.<\/p>\n

Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n

Supervise the public outreach employees within the Northern Region (or as business needs warrant).
\nCollaborate with Regional Public Affairs and Corporate Communications in developing and implementing plans to create long-term success and minimize constraints for PSE&G capital projects, with special focus at the municipal government and community levels.
\nManage and coordinate the activities of the public outreach employees within the area, coordinating project and workflow and informing senior management of any issues.
\nThis position must identify, influence and manage issues associated with PSE&G capital projects and coordinate with the Senior Manager and director level employees on strategy with community constituencies including local media, property owners, special interest groups, organized opponents, local municipalities and businesses to facilitate the planning, approvals process and construction of PSE&G\u2019s capital program.
\nAdapt and implement a construction communications plan for maximum positive impact with key stakeholders on all PSE&G capital projects, and monitor project related claims issues.<\/p>\n

Required:<\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s degree Business\/Communications and 4+ years\u2019 experience in governmental affairs\/corporate communications\/public affairs, customer facing or related experience or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 8 years experience in the following: Community outreach\/relations, public affairs\/relations, customer relations, corporate communications or governmental affairs.
\nDemonstrated superior customer focus.
\nOutstanding organizational, communication and presentation skills.
\nStrong strategic thinking, interpersonal and leadership skills.
\nProven ability to conduct research, provide competitive intelligence reports, executive public affairs assessments.
\nGeneral familiarity with creative processes (layout, photography, print production).
\nMust possess and maintain a valid U. S. driver\u2019s license and maintain a safe driving record<\/p>\n
