Norfolk Remote Jobs Customer Support Jobs<\/p>\n

Primary Purpose:<\/p>\n

Directs and handles all activities associated with selecting, maintaining, and retiring intermodal lift equipment for a region supporting safe, efficient, economical and reliable equipment to support intermodal operations.<\/p>\n

Principal Duties:<\/p>\n

Establishes and oversees NS\u2019 intermodal assets maintenance policies and compliance system wide
\nSupports and improves NS\u2019 equipment reliability and availability
\nOversees maintenance contract compliance
\nProvides technical expertise to quickly return equipment to service
\nDevelops and establishes alternative component options
\nDevelops and administers expense budgets.
\nCommunicates with internal and external organizations, including customers, contractors, suppliers, other railroads, and regulatory agencies.
\nEstablishes working relationship with and leads maintenance teams
\nPerform terminal audits and machine inspections
\nPosition requires seven day a week responsibility, emergency call-outs, and frequent overnight travel when assistance for troubleshooting is required<\/p>\n
