The Role<\/p>\n

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Project Manager, to work alongside the Senior Programme Manager for our\u00a0Government client.\u00a0 Supporting a multi-functional team and to manage the scheduling of project delivery, change and new business.\u00a0 This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have SC clearance or be willing to undergo the clearance process.<\/p>\n

You will be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously and within a team to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables, whilst also owning a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones and customer KPI\u2019s and SLA\u2019s. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues.<\/p>\n

You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to projects and technical challenges.<\/p>\n

The Senior Technical Project Manager\u2019s duties and responsibilities include ensuring teams meet all scope requirements by completing jobs properly according to their contract or agreement with the client. In addition, they must provide concrete guidance on what everyone needs to do and the most efficient way to complete each step.<\/p>\n

What will I be doing?<\/p>\n

Coordinate internal resources and third parties\/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
\nEnsure that all projects\u00a0are\u00a0delivered\u00a0on-time,\u00a0within scope and within budget.
\nDeveloping project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
\nEnsure resource availability and allocation.
\nUse appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
\nReport and escalate to management as needed.
\nManage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
\nPerform risk management\u00a0to\u00a0minimise\u00a0project\u00a0risks.
\nEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties\/vendors.
\nCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation.<\/p>\n

We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills who has:<\/p>\n

Proven track record in successfully delivering projects or task work packages of small to medium size and high complexity deliveries.
\nExperience of working with the the Defence or National Security Domain
\nAble to demonstrate experience in Project Management.
\nExperience in SAFe Agile and Waterfall models of delivery cycles.
\nGood interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives.
\nAbility to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer, supplier and internal staff with an awareness of engineering principles.
\nAble to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of projects.
\nThe ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
\nEnthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication.
\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
\nSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
\nA technical background in software development\/test activities.<\/p>\n

The Technical Project Manager should have experience of individual contribution or leadership within key business life-cycle phases to include;<\/p>\n

Management & Leadership of project BAU Contract phase
\nProject intervention and problem resolution within complex environments
\nBusiness development activities and customer engagement<\/p>\n
