Primary accountabilities:<\/p>\n

Be a central, hands-on member of the EMEA Design Team. Establishing design & product creation excellence for the EMEA division.
\nResearch Lifestyle, Outdoor & Streetwear trends and stay up to date on contemporary styles & cultures, target consumer, wearing occasions & market opportunities.
\nWork closely with Senior Design Manager to build seasonal concept, color, collection and development strategy.
\nWork in close partnership with the rest of Design, Development, Merchandising, and Market Place teams
\nPartner with Merchandising team to manage SKU plan, considering commercial needs, key price points and business opportunities.
\nCreate brand right\/market-relevant product that meets expectations in terms of value and cost.
\nPartner with the cross function team to develop new materials, and construction techniques and support research into new developments.
\nWorking closely and communicating daily on challenges and changes that arise during the development of styles. Partner with the Product Developer & Fit Team to ensure a smooth work flow each season.
\nHigh level of fabric knowledge plus a strong technical understanding of fits and constructions.
\nWorking to the Seasonal Calendar to meet deadlines
\nPreparing all sketches (2D) for divisional presentations and workbooks.
\nWork closely within the teams to align design aesthetics, seasonal details and creative ideas.
\nDrive agile decision making on prototype reviews and have a strong knowledge of pricing & fit.
\nIn line with The North Face sustainability goals, play an active role in researching and\u00a0introducing innovations to help achieve these.<\/p>\n

Bachelor Level degree (or equivalent) in Fashion Design
\nSolid and verifiable Apparel Design experience across Men\u2019s & Women\u2019s.
\nAdvanced presentation skills.
\nHighly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
\nAdvanced organization skills
\nAdvanced knowledge of fit and construction expertise
\nExcellent attention to details
\nStrong eye for trends in streetwear and outdoor environments.
\nAbility to build strong relationships with direct colleagues and across departments.
\nAble to find the best solutions to problems and inspire new working methods.
\nA proactive, self-starter with strong communication skills.
\nExperience working with overseas factories and fabric suppliers.
\nFully capable to manage responsibilities & tasks without direction.
\nMust be flexible and adaptive to change.
\nSoftware skills: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft.
\nLanguages: Excellent English communication & presentation skills.
\nAbility to travel internationally, if required.<\/p>\n
