DFS Work From Home Jobs Advisor Full Time<\/p>\n

Responsible for assisting in the implementation of ER strategies, programs and policies\u00a0that\u00a0promote productive and positive relationships between managers, employees,\u00a0and co-workers by helping to prevent and resolve issues between individuals.\u00a0Responsible for following ER-related policies and procedures in a consistent and expedient manner to ensure that employees are treated\u00a0fairly\u00a0and actions taken\u00a0are in compliance with\u00a0company policy and government regulations.\u00a0In addition to handling day-to-day ER matters,\u00a0may\u00a0also help to educate appropriate audiences with the goal of minimizing legal risk and preventing the unfair treatment of employees.\u00a0Works\u00a0on local and may work on cross-functional ER projects.\u00a0Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n

Intakes and investigates formal employee complaints and recommends action. Provides advice and counsel to employees to help them address issues with\u00a0coworkers\u00a0or management, including facilitation of mediation as\u00a0appropriate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Provides advice and guidance to managers in assigned business units to address employee performance and conduct issues, including guidance,\u00a0review\u00a0and approval of corrective actions & recommendations for termination.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Advises Managers and employees on issues related to policy interpretation, basic employment law and\/or compliance situations and the handling of workplace threat situations. Consults with Managers on reorganizations and position eliminations – evaluating and providing counsel on legal risk and mitigation, and to ensure fair treatment of employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Leads local ER projects and may work on cross functional projects.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Handles miscellaneous ER activities such as conducting exit interviews; conducting ER related training for managers;\u00a0maintaining\u00a0ER records and producing ER Reports; and handling the most complex LOA matters, accommodations and return to work issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s Degree\u00a0in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration and Management.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

4+ years of\u00a0experience in employee\u00a0relations,\u00a0employment\u00a0law, corrective action, employee complaints, or related experience.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In lieu of education experience, 4+ years of experience in employee relations, employment law, corrective action, employee complaints, or related experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
