DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n

Respond to classification inquiries from internal teams (branch level live classification requests) and external clients (project-based classifications)
\nProvide guidance on classifications to clients and internal C.H. Robinson operations staff
\nMaintain product and instructional databases and update tariff book
\nConsult with sales, refund department and Trade Policy on classification issues
\nObtain binding rulings as required
\nAssist Trade Policy Advisors and Management as required for client engagements and projects
\nPrioritize client requests for project based and ad-hoc classifications
\nManage large client projects as required
\nFull knowledge of UK Customs classification practices
\nEngage independently in direct customer facing activities
\nServe as mentor to other \u201cnon-senior\u201d members of the team
\nOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and\/or country specific requirements.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n

Required:<\/p>\n

High school diploma or GED
\nMinimum 4 years of previous Customs Brokerage experience
\n4 years of harmonized classification experience (USHTS and\/or CAHTS)
\nExpert in Canadian and\/or UK Customs Regulations
\nExcellent communication and writing skills
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
\nDemonstrated communication, prioritization and time management skills
\nOrganized and able to multitask\/lead complex projects in matrix\/non-direct management environment.
\nDirect management\/leadership experience
\nCustomer facing experience.<\/p>\n
