As a Forwarding Agent Ocean Import , you will be your customers\u2019 primary contact responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle of their global freight.\u00a0\u00a0You\u2019ll be very hands-on with your customers, working closely with them from the start of the shipment process.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n

Maintain Operational Excellence:<\/p>\n

Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally.<\/p>\n

Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.<\/p>\n

Facilitate Relationships:<\/p>\n

Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution.<\/p>\n

Build great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution<\/p>\n

Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers.<\/p>\n

Participate in customer business reviews.<\/p>\n

Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n

Required:<\/p>\n

Minimum of 5 years of experience as freight forwarder<\/p>\n

Fluent in French and English<\/p>\n
