Minimum qualifications:<\/p>\n

4 years of related work experience\u00a0or military experience
\nA valid driver\u2019s license
\nStrong computer skills
\nBrake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
\nVehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
\nAble to obtain EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification within 90 days of hire (ASE, MACS or equivalent)
\nAvailable to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends<\/p>\n

3 years of hands-on experience as a fleet technician\u00a0
\nTractor and trailer experience\u00a0

\nPrior mechanical experience in the automotive industry or skilled trades
\nDiesel tech school diploma
\nBasic welding skills (Oxy\/Acetylene, MIG and ARC)<\/p>\n

What you\u2019ll do on a typical day:<\/p>\n

Schedule and supervise shop personnel
\nOrder parts and manage vendors
\nEnsure technicians receive the required training
\nPerform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of class 7 and 8 diesel equipment, forklifts and trailing equipment in compliance with the manufacturer\u2019s and company\u2019s schedules
\nSafely access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on or under parts of vehicles and trailers
\nApply knowledge of and work by the Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and lead your team to do the same
\nRepair or rebuild all or parts of various equipment systems
\nMove trailers throughout the property
\nOperate a hostler in all types of weather; safely walk and stand for extended periods<\/p>\n
