\nApply electrical, electronic theory and mechanical knowledge to build, repair, calibrate, troubleshoot and modify electrical components, circuitry, and controls.\u00a0 The troubleshooting of current systems and the design and implementation of system improvements and project work.
\nKey control systems resource for the shift
\nExecute controls related work orders generated by operators, mechanics and engineers.
\nWork with the Controls Engineers to develop plans and priorities for plant controls projects and problems
\nDevelop working knowledge, including specification, design, troubleshooting and programming of:
\nPLC\u2019s, HMI\u2019s, VFD\u2019s, Wonderware, AB PanelView, servos, and sensors
\nProcess PID loops and instrumentation
\nControls related networks, DeviceNet, ControlNet, servers, InSql, and InCuity.
\nEmergency Stop Systems and Classifications
\nAC\/DC motors and motor control circuits
\nPneumatic and Hydraulic systems
\nInstrument\/equipment calibration
\nComplete necessary training to upgrade skills pertaining to effective maintenance of equipment and systems.
\nPlay an active role applying GMI control system design standards.
\nResponsible for proper documentation of work performed
\nPerform training to plant & maintenance personnel.<\/p>\n

Associates degree or equivalent plus 3 years of related experience.
\nLicensed industrial electrician preferred and required within 2 years of start date
\nAbility to perform at a Basic Mechanic level
\nKnowledge of electric theory and perform electrical calculations
\nProficient in reading electrical drawings, identifying components and wiring.
\nAbility to troubleshoot using electrical instruments and circuit knowledge.
\nAbility to install, wire and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, VFD\u2019s, PLC I\/O modules, analog control devices, safety circuits, etc
\nAbility to install and maintain metal detectors, checkweighers, date coders and case coders
\nBasic skills in using in RSLogix 5000, 500, 5, RSlinx, Mass Autosave, RSNetworx, and RSLinx
\nUse the National Electrical Code, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, supporting codes and General Mills Standards to perform work in a quality manner.<\/p>\n
