Tenneco is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for Tenneco, Waupun plant.\u00a0 The Manufacturing Engineer\u00a0Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance and manufacturing processes in industrial plant and is able to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws by performing the following duties.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n

Participates in training to produce a quality product \/ services, uses preventative measures to ensure the customer requirements and Tenneco standards are met.<\/p>\n

Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and\/or ill health to themselves and others.
\nUnderstands preventative measures and creates a safe and healthy environment by having the ability to identify potential emergency situations and reports all incidents to supervisor\/ manager.
\nAdhere to the facility\u2019s quality, environmental, health and safety policies that are identified by our Management Systems.
\nIn the absence of the production supervisor, manufacturing engineers will be required to provide coverage in the Manufacturing area. This coverage will be required for vacations, weekend work and illnesses.
\nDevelops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
\nAbility to plan and implement projects, this includes the delegation of resources, time management and the project budgets.\u00a0
\nAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
\nConfers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.<\/p>\n

Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
\nEstimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
\nConfers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
\nApplies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
\nExamines documents such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data.
\nAbility to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, models, and other specifications to obtain data on proposed part.
\nPrepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis. Prepares reports and memorandums.
\nAnalyzes test results on defective parts to aid in determining cause of failure and assists production with trouble shooting and corrective action measures.
\nProperly identifies and analyzes and resolves non-conforming material and assists the Quality Department with disposition of materials.
\nAttends and participates in cross-functional teams and supports such teams in explaining various methods and approaches and monitors results.
\nApplies knowledge of functions and processes of various departments and capacities of machines and equipment to resolve process issues.
\nSchedules and coordinate activities and personnel concerned with maintenance of equipment and machinery in the industrial plant.
\nConsults with the production supervisors on coordination of work orders, giving all safety related items top priority.
\nMust be able to work independently.
\nOther duties as assigned.
\nAttendance is required.<\/p>\n

LANGUAGE SKILLS:<\/p>\n

Ability to read to read and write English.\u00a0 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\u00a0 Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\u00a0 Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\u00a0 Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints.<\/p>\n
