Essential Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<\/p>\n

Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, dollar amount errors on invoices, etc., for land\/lot acquisitions
\nReview Gross Profit Margins of subdivisions
\nCreate land spreadsheet for payments
\nRun various reports and perform budget tracking
\nPrepare\/update land acquisition proformas (LAPs), Forestar proformas, and the Financial Project System (FPS)
\nRun a weekly funding request
\nAssist vendors with any questions
\nAssist with reconciling transactions and budgets pertaining to homes sold for the end of month process
\nConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
\nAbility to travel overnight\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n

Education and\/or Experience<\/p>\n

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related area of study) from a four-year college or university
\nTwo to five years of related experience and\/or training
\nUnderstanding and ability to adhere to General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
\nFamiliarity with land\/lot contracts
\nPossess strong verbal and written communication skills
\nProvide attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilities
\nAbility to accurately and efficiently process and record large volumes of data
\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
\nProficiency with MS Office and email
\nAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.\u00a0\u00a0Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
