\nThis role is primarily about supporting our customers in the United Kingdom and occasionally overseas and ensuring that their Westrock high speed packaging machines are maintained in excellent condition and run at >98% efficiency.<\/p>\n

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the safety, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of WestRock packaging equipment in use at our customer’s sites.
\nThey ensure that we always work safety and are actively involved in the continuous improvement of our work practices as well as implementing projects.
\nThis is a role where you are encouraged to grow your knowledge and experience and become an active member of our Westrock Europe Field Service Team. How you will impact WestRock:<\/p>\n

Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of Westrock machines
\nInstallation, commissioning, and customer acceptance of new machines
\nProactively monitoring machine performance and intervening to ensure maximum efficiency
\nProactively managing scheduled maintenance of machines entrusted to you (actively looking for and resolving problems before they become issues for our customers)
\nAssessing machine mechanical wear and conducting the planned replacement worn components
\nImprove the knowledge and skills of customer operators and maintainers and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where needed.
\nActively involved with the team to improve our own work practices
\nTroubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults and quickly escalating to colleagues when required
\nEnsuring that the correct tools, spare parts and consumables are available
\nInput to the continuous improvement of WestRock\u2019s machine design<\/p>\n

What you will need to succeed:<\/p>\n

Ideally 3 to 5 years\u2019 experience of installing, maintaining, and repairing electro-mechanical machinery
\nKnowledge and practical experience of PLCs and Mechatronic systems\u00a0
\nIndependent, customer-oriented way of working
\nPerformance-oriented thinking and acting
\nWillingness to challenge \u201cwe have always done it like this\u201d thinking
\nWillingness to travel
\nLanguage: very good English (Another European language is a plus)
\nProject management experience is a plus
\nLEAN and Six Sigma experience is a plus\u00a0
\nContinuous improvement\u00a0experience is a plus<\/p>\n
