GENERAL PURPOSE:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in a timely and courteous manner.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n

Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipment (i.e. printing presses, folding machines, etc.).
\nRepairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification).
\nPaints and performs minor repairs of building interior and exterior including masonry, wallboard, ceiling tiles, woodwork, etc.
\nUses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.\u00a0
\nPerforms basic handiwork such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, water and air filters, and plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, and maintaining proper forklift batteries.
\nPrepares and operates machine tools such as grinders, and drill presses to repair machine parts and\/or fixtures. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Troubleshoots electric and electronic problems.
\nPerforms inspections of and tests fire alarms and pumps.
\nTroubleshoots and repairs mechanical components including bindery equipment (folder roller changes, transport belts, bearings, drive motors) and presses.
\nTroubleshoots and repairs PLC\u2019s.
\nTroubleshoots motors, pumps, compressors and any other systems in the plant.
\nChecks new and refurbished parts for the proper specs.
\nPerforms preventative maintenance.
\nPerforms machine modifications to improve production as needed.
\nWorks on call as required.
\nBuilds custom parts on demand.
\nMaintains accurate maintenance records.
\nOperates scissors.
\nUnderstands and respects responsibilities of working in an SOP and cGMP environment.
\nPerforms other job duties as assigned.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/p>\n

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
\nPrior experience as a maintenance tech or relevant mechanical experience
\nPrior electrical experience a plus
\nMust be able to properly use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
\nMust have a working knowledge of AC\/DC motors.
\nMust be trained in basic electric and mechanical safety.
\nMust have some basic computer experience.
\nMust be knowledgeable in the safe use of hand and small power tools.
\nMust be knowledgeable in the use of blue prints and schematics.
\nMust be able to work on-call as needed. \u00a0
\nMust have acute troubleshooting skills.
\nMust be able to maintain good attendance.
\nMust be willing to work overtime as needed.
\nMust be able to work independently and use independent judgment.\u00a0
\nMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.<\/p>\n
