THE MLC STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The MLC Student Ambassador program provides college and university students the opportunity to earn the designation \u201cMLC Student Ambassador\u201d through an assessment of their knowledge about The MLC, and commitment to continued dissemination of information about The MLC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
MLC Student Ambassadors enjoy a variety of benefits, described below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
There is no cost to participate in the program, and there are no geographic requirements or limitations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
MLC Student Ambassadors are not employees or independent contractors of The MLC. There is no compensation paid by The MLC to Student Ambassadors.<\/li>\n
MLC Student Ambassadors may not hold themselves out as though they are employees of The MLC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
The MLC Student Ambassador program is available exclusively to students who are currently enrolled in college or university courses.<\/li>\n
Proof of enrollment status must be submitted as part of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
PROGRAM BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
Students accepted into the program are permitted to use the \u201cMLC Student Ambassador\u201d designation, followed by the academic semester or quarter it is active for (e.g., Fall 2022), on their resume, in their bio, and on their social media profiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
MLC Student Ambassadors are given access to digital and physical assets that can be used to help spread the word about The MLC to potential members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
MLC Student Ambassadors will be invited to exclusive events designed specifically for students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
PROGRAM OBLIGATIONS AND RENEWALS<\/strong><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
MLC Student Ambassadors must help spread the word about The MLC to songwriters, composers, and lyricists in their local communities. This is done through one-on-one interactions where the Student Ambassador shares helpful information about The MLC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
MLC Student Ambassadors must post about The MLC on Instagram three (3) times per academic semester or quarter. MLC Student Ambassadors must follow\/like The MLC on Instagram and tag us and use the hashtag #theMLCedu in their posts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
The MLC Student Ambassador designation is valid for one academic semester or quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
For the first semester or quarter, a Student Ambassador is granted the designation based on a knowledge assessment and their intent to post about The MLC in the current semester or quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
For subsequent semesters or quarters, a Student Ambassador is granted a renewal of the designation based on whether they met the posting requirement in the prior semester or quarter, and their intent to post in the current one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
Student Ambassadors will be able to submit a simple online Renewal Application at the start of each semester or quarter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Be sure to use either your .edu email address, or a personal one (e.g. gmail.com), not an address at another company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n

Once an applicant\u2019s eligibility is verified, they are provided with access to informational materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
Applicants are then given 5 days to complete a video assessment of their knowledge regarding the educational material. This is done through our hiring platforms Greenhouse and Spark Hire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n

VERY IMPORTANT<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 INSTEAD OF submitting a cover letter below, applicants are required to submit a PDF with proof of their enrollment status for the academic semester or quarter for which you are applying. See the schedule below. This should be a PDF comprised of a screen shot from the course registration system at the student\u2019s institution. The student\u2019s name and the semester or quarter must be visible in the screen shot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Applicants will also be presented with optional EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) questions, even though this is not an employment position. We would like to gather demographics information about our Educator Ambassadors, but answering these questions is voluntary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
