The TEMP:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manager, Clinical Project Planning works closely with partners to plan, develop, monitor, control, and update schedules for clinical studies using Microsoft Project and Project Online. This is role that interacts with diverse groups of partners (e.g., Therapeutic Area Operational Leaders, Program Operation Leaders, Clinical Study Leaders, Development Program Management, etc.) within the Development Operations and Portfolio Management organization.<\/p>\n

A typical day may include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Use the applicable template and through communication with subject matter experts define activities to develop a logical, dynamic schedule.<\/li>\n
• Include logic from other templates or schedules into the schedules for clinical studies.<\/li>\n
• Create schedule baselines and document changes to the schedule baseline (i.e., re-baseline), received through formal change control processes, in order to maintain an accurate schedule.<\/li>\n
• Collect activity status at defined intervals from activity owners to review progress and update the schedule.<\/li>\n
• Analyze variance between planned and actual performance. Elevate awareness to relevant collaborators about issues that could impact adherence to the baseline. Propose options to take corrective actions to avoid delays and optimize the schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • Works cross-functionally in a matrix organization.<\/li>\n
  • Having fluency with Microsoft Project<\/li>\n
  • Drug development or clinical development pharmaceutical proven experience preferred, but not required.<\/li>\n
  • Familiarity with earned value and risk analysis using monte carlo simulation is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
