Job Description:

As a Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines, you are the face of our airline and embody our reputation for friendly, reliable, and accommodating service. This exciting role involves significant interaction with customers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and making their travel experience memorable.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers aboard flights
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate safety procedures
  • Provide information and support to passengers, including on flight details, travel connections, and onboard services
  • Offer food and beverages, and sell onboard merchandise
  • Handle emergencies and provide guidance to passengers when needed
  • Participate in regular training sessions and refreshers

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 20 years
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and ability to travel freely within and outside the U.S.
  • Ability to reach overhead bins and carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to operate on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Pass a background check, including finger printing and a drug screen
  • No visible tattoos when in uniform (face, neck, hands, or fingers)

Educational Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Further certifications in hospitality, safety, or related fields (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Prior customer service experience preferred but not mandatory
