The Lead Production Engineer will lead the production Engineering Function to directly support all production engineering related issues to support operational business targets. Able to manage the team and lead tasks with minimal support, whilst, collaborating with multiple business functions.
Core Responsibilities
Manage the Production Engineering function, with direct report(s) from the ME function
Working closely with production teams to make quick, strategic decisions for production issues to support business targets
Responsible for fixture ticket process
Supports business non conformance process with rework feasibility and instructions
Maintains manufacturing instructions when required
Challenge product design to optimise producibility and design for manufacture
Works with production to optimise tooling where possible
Works with and manages suppliers to support production with replacement tooling
Manages and collects corrective action opportunities for RCCA team
Other responsibilities as assigned
Experience and Skills:
Skilled with CAD, modelling and creating technical drawings
Able to create manufacturing sequences of multiple level assemblies
Expert organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
Experience using MRP systems
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
Strong understanding of welding processes and non-destructive testing
People management experience desirable

Education:
Degree in an engineering/science discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation.
