Huntsman has a rare opportunity for a Process Safety Technician to join our team in Duxford, Cambridge, UK on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of Process Safety. As the Process Safety Technician, you will be mentored by our experienced Process Safety Engineer to assist in the fulfilment of all Process Safety activities on our key operational facility comprising of a manufacturing and packaging plant, warehousing and support services.

Provide active support in various aspects of Process Safety activities within the Duxford Site.
Participate in the Root Cause Analysis on Incident Investigations.
Participate in commissioning of engineering projects.
Collaborate with the Process Safety Centre of Excellence in developing and implementing best practices and solutions.
Support the maintaining of the Huntsman Process Safety Standards Procedures and Guidelines.
Actively contribute in the implementation of a sustainable process safety culture supporting both EHS and PSM teams in the deployment of this culture in line with the divisional Zero Harm journey.

Skills & Experience Required:
Engineering degree. Masters or PHD will be considered a plus.
Familiarity with PSM systems, implementation and improvement.
Familiar with risk identification and reduction techniques.
Familiar with failure mechanisms, protection systems and their design.
Engineering design & optimisation experience in a wide range of unit operations.
Good team working skills, team spirit and ambition to develop oneself in a demanding technical environment while positively influencing development and learning of others.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
