At College Essay Guy, our goal is to bring more ease, purpose, and joy to the college application process. As a part of our mission to increase access to college and higher education, we offer free, pay-what-you-can, and paid services to students of all backgrounds. We’re looking to bring on a customer support contractor to join our team. You will be on the front lines of any interactions with students, parents and counselors who use our platform, Corsava (https://corsava.com/). You’re also the first friendly touchpoint for users who might get locked out of their account, need help finding a specific resource or getting a refund,, or just want to say “Thanks!” and share a heart-felt testimonial. (We love those.)

Customer Support Handle incoming email support volume within 1-2 business days using Freshdesk and occasional video calls via Zoom or Google Meets. Investigate and resolve account and billing issues using AWS (Cognito), Metabase, Gravity, the Corsava platform, SendGrid, and Loom.

Answering questions about Corsava’s platform and services Update user account information when requested. Connect student accounts to their appropriate counselor accounts Operations Verify free accounts online applications.

Perform follow ups and gather additional information via email to aid in the verification process as needed Update our canned responses and our Help Center on a case-by-case basis Assist with researching and updating the college data on each of our cards in the card sort Gathering and providing feedback to improve Corsava’s support process and functions

Qualifications:

Needed: At least 1 year of experience in a customer support, technical support, and/or digital operations role. We are an education-based platform and so we require strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working on their own and taking initiative in a growing company.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working remotely Familiarity with various online platforms such as Freshdesk, Zoom, Google Meets, Loom, AWS, and more. Basic knowledge of the college application process or college list building Basic technical knowledge of online software Compensation,
