Job Summary
You will have the ability to: follow prescribed procedures and practices, provide clerical support and/or administrative duties including data collection and entry, information/data analysis, document preparation, report generation, requests for information and/or records maintenance in compliance with legal retention schedules.

Essential Functions
Distributes information including mail/email, performs faxing, mails documents, makes copies and scans documents.
Establishes and maintains filing systems and monitors record retention for schedule compliance; opens, closes, archives, retrieves and/or destroys files.
Analyzes information and processes/performs data entry/documentation for attendance, the budget and monthly variances, expenditures, expense accounts, electronic invoicing, and payments.
Assists with resolution of errors, exceptions, inconsistencies and problems.
Develops, prepares, generates, prints and/or distributes reports.
Creates file folders, correspondence and other documents.
Receives, researches and responds to electronic, written, oral or telephone requests for information, including multiple telephone lines or email inboxes.
Orders non-standard office supplies and maintains office equipment.
Tracks attendance, including work schedules, vacation, absences and travel plans.
Makes meeting and travel arrangements.

Education Description
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Experience
Requires at least 4 years of related work experience.

Physical Requirements
Able to communicate either written and verbal communications either in person or through technical equipment such as telephone.
Able to distinguish between colors.
Able to demonstrate and apply the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer and common office equipment.
Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
Required to participate in Center Point Energy’s Emergency Operation Plan (EOP).
Able to work regular hours, with occasional or mandatory overtime; may be required to work rotating shifts.
