About the role
We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join Peabody’s Global OT team in Manchester. This would suit an experienced Data Analyst or we are open to applications from University Students who could work part time.
Reporting to the Manager – Operations Technology, you will be responsible for developing and deploying reporting, visualisations and data driven solutions to support our more Manchester mine sites.
Key responsibilities include:
Building relationships and engaging with business representatives to understand and document analytical requirements.
Create reporting visualisations in Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Opportunities exist to grow into data engineering and analytical tasks such as data preparation and cleansing using languages such as SQL and Python.

This position is offered on a Monday to Friday basis, working from our Fortitude Valley office with working from home options. Peabody offers flexible start / finish times and ‘redistributed working week’ giving employees flexibility to finish at noon on Friday’s. Some infrequent travel will be required to mine sites in NSW and QLD.
About you:
Degree qualified in IT or working towards a degree in Data Analytics
An understanding of SQL language and Power BI/similar tools
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience gained within mining or heavy industry would be advantageous
Motivated self starter that is happy to work autonomously.
