Job Description
The role of the Sheeter Operative is to support the smooth running of the factory by managing the initial process of converting cardboard reels into sheets that can be printed on. The Sheeter Operative maintains the workload flowing and time management and planning is key to this role.
Specific Responsibilities
Maintaining and understanding the mechanics of the Sheeter machine
Running the Sheeter machine, ensuring optimum performance and output
Carrying out routine maintenance, checking and slight repairs or reporting of issues
Meet agreed targets regarding high quality products
To operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) and Clamp Truck whilst adhering to H&S guidelines
Carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner
Ensuring the machine area is kept clean and tidy, complying with H&S and 5S
Participate and contribute to all activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, lean and Kanban system initiatives
Ensuring the safe movement of the Reels including fitting correctly and safety.
The control of waste collection in the Sheetfed department and ensuring recycling processes are followed as and when required
