Job Description

As a Netflix Tagger, you will be responsible for watching and analyzing a wide range of content on Netflix. Your main task will be to tag movies and TV shows with appropriate metadata, including genres, subgenres, themes, and other relevant information. This metadata helps improve the Netflix recommendation algorithm, ensuring that our viewers discover content they’ll love.

Key Responsibilities

  • Watch and analyze a variety of Netflix content, including movies, TV shows, documentaries, and more.
  • Tag content with accurate and relevant metadata, including genres, subgenres, themes, and other attributes.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in tagging to maintain the quality of the Netflix recommendation system.
  • Collaborate with other team members to refine and update tagging guidelines and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in film and television to provide insightful and relevant tagging.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong knowledge of film and television, including an understanding of various genres and subgenres.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in tagging content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in metadata tagging or a related field.
  • Background or degree in film studies, media, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with the Netflix platform and its content library.
