Key Responsibilities
- Process and fill medication prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Verify prescription information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders as necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide superior service.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain patient profiles, including medication histories and allergies.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to junior pharmacy technicians.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Current national Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medical terminology.
- Proficient in pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work remotely in a quiet, professional environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
