Provide full support to production processes and assist with the development, testing and introduction of new products.
Develop and implement significant improvements in department wide processes, procedures and systems.
Improve the overall reliability and performance of plant, personnel and production equipment and processes.
Carry out feasibility studies for new technical innovations, testing installations and systems, analysing data.
Help with installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
Maintain and develop the delivery of finished products in line with cost, quality and production schedule requirements.
Implement standard operating procedures across all areas of responsibility.
Health and Safety awareness will be amongst your main priorities, and Health and Safety guidelines should be actively adhered to and promoted.
Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s/Apprenticeship degree or higher from an accredited institution in an Engineering discipline.
Significant hands-on experience in a manual and automated assembly manufacturing environment.
Experience of lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma
experience of manual and automated assembly processes, and has a proven track record of process capability and OEE improvement.
Experience in project management
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills.
Versatile and a self-starter able to work without supervision.
